Preparation

  1. Prepare the Broth

    • Sauté shallots until fragrant, add 2.5 liters of water.
    • Once boiling, add sugar, chili, fish sauce, scallions, MSG, seafood seasoning, and Daishi powder. Adjust seasoning to taste.
  2. Garnish & Serve

    • Serve hot with Southern-style vegetables: pumpkin flower, sesbania flower, water hyacinth blossom, shiitake mushroom, etc.
    • Can be enjoyed with rice vermicelli or steamed rice.
